One of the many obstacles faced by Chant enthusiasts with the PTB (Powers That Be) is the perception that Gregorian Chant is elitist, and unintelligible by the peeps in the pews. Now, we, having shared said pews with said peeps, know that this is not the case, since the majority of those singing in chant scholas came from their ranks. I should know; I'm one of them. :)
